Stories of the Week - 21.11/27.11
What happened in Irrelevant Matters last week
I decided to focus the Monday newsletter only on stories published in the publication last week. And I'll start a spontaneous segment in the newsletter "The State of The Publication," where I'll inform about the results, the development path, and all that's happening behind the curtain.
Of course, I'll always add a few words of commentary, even in this segment - I don't want to just copy-paste links.
Anyways, below is the list of the last week's stories in Irrelevant Matters.
Stories of the Week - 21.11/27.11
The week started with Katrina Paulson's story: "Scientists Discovered First Physiological Distinction in Our Inner Vision,” in which she amazes us with the scientific discovery that not even mental images, but the activity of thought processes, influence the size of our eye’s pupil. Also, we learned a lot about Aphantasia.
Then Desiree Peralta confronted yet another popular millennial trend - quitting college on the road to great success like “those guys” who did it without college (Elon Musk, Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs). She concluded the story:
You will not achieve success just because you decide not to go to college and play to be an entrepreneur. For that to work, you will need an established plan, the correct connections, and specific skills.
And even I, as a four-time college dropout, advice anyone to try college, especially to build connections and get a new perspective by meeting new people.
